Directed by Raneem Farsi and Neville Wakefield, and curated by Maya El Khalil and Marcello Dantas, the theme “In the Presence of Absence” invited artists to explore the unseen aspects of the desert, challenging the idea of deserts as empty spaces. The event aimed to foster cultural dialogue through art, incorporating principles of land art.
Aimes handled all visitor experiences and programming, enhancing engagement and impact. The exhibition has paved the way for Wadi AlFann, a large-scale site for permanent land art opening in AlUla in 2026.
