For the second iteration of the Visual Arts Commission’s Kingdom Photography Award, submissions were sought under the theme We Tell Stories, in order to highlight the power of visual storytelling and recognise a portrayal of the Kingdom that provides insight into local communities.

Five commissioned artists explored the Al-Ahsa region and the intricate connections binding its people to their land; their photographs and the winning series were displayed in the Alhasa Hassana exhibition along with featured workshops, panel discussions and talks.
